On the afternoon of Saturday 19th August, a first and very successful Perth Cafe Bridge took place successfully with 112 participants coming from all over Scotland
Playing bridge in 8 city centre pubs, cafes, and hotels – The Twa Tams, The Cullach Taproom, The Giddy Goose, The Capital Asset and Parklands, The Royal George and The Premier Inn hotels plus St Matthews Church in Tay Street which was our start and finish venue.
Each play venue was given funds upfront to allow each of the players to get a soft drink, a coffee or tea ,or a wee ½ pint of lager!
The players in turn were given tokens to ‘spend’ when thirst or tension came upon them – but only one in each venue!
Thank you ‘Cycling without Age’ for the two Trishaws you loaned us festooned with suited balloons which ferried the less spritely from venue to venue like royalty!
